Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas -- (Mineola TX) -- Today Rep. Bryan Hughes announced the endorsement of the Department of Public Safety Officers Association PAC (DPSOA-PAC).
DPSOA is one of the largest organizations representing commissioned law enforcement officers in Texas and includes nearly 3300 men and women who daily pledge their lives to protect Texans across the state. This is the only endorsement they have made for the 2016 election cycle.
Im thankful for the work of our DPS Officers here at home and increasingly on the border said Hughes. Since the border surge last year DPS has played a key role in protecting us against dangerous illegal immigrants crossing our borders with weapons and drugs. Im proud to support our DPS and Im honored by this endorsement.
We believe that Rep. Bryan Hughes has an excellent record of supporting law enforcement the jobs peace officers do in their communities and particularly the men and women who serve the public in law enforcement for the Department of Public Safety said Lieutenant Jimmy Jackson Chairman of the DPSOA PAC.
