Hurd Named to Terrorist Foreign Fighter Travel Threat Task Force

Will Hurd as he was named by Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul to the Task Force on Combatting Terrorist & Foreign Fighter Travel"  which will assess Americas efforts to keep terrorists from traveling to the U.S.    The bipartisan task force will meet with government agencies top officials and outside experts to develop policy and legislative solutions to this threat. During my time in the CIA I faced our enemies and know the threats they pose to our country" said Hurd (R-TX) who spent more than 9 years as an undercover officer in nations including Pakistan and Afghanistan. I believe I bring a unique perspective and experience to this task force and I look forward to working with my colleagues in this bipartisan effort." In recent months terrorists have struck multiple Western cities including Copenhagen Paris Sydney Ottawa and beyond. We need to make sure we are doing everything possible to prevent these fighters and other terrorists from traveling to the United States to carrying out more attacks.
