Insiders Legislative Whos Who&": For the Week Ending May 10th

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Everyone expected the Texas Legislature particularly the House was in for an interesting week ... and they didnt disappoint. The House deadline of midnight Thursday for bills to either be voted on by the full House or die came & went while discussions swirled on whether the Senate or Houses version of funding a Texas Water Plan would bust the Budget Cap. David Dewhurst & Senate Education Committee Chair Dan Patrick were two of the many guests appearing at Tuesdays big Charter School Rally in front of the Capitol while the Senate Transportation Committee under Chair Robert Nichols kept pace with the House in trying to reach a funding solution to facilitate continued road construction across Texas rapidly growing landscape ... a still yet-to-be resolved issue.
