Jeff Leach Endorsed by Texas Largest Law Enforcement Association

width=72Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Jeff Leach Republican running for State Representative in District 67 announced today that he has earned the endorsement of The Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA) the states largest law enforcement association. Since 1950 TMPA has fought to give all law enforcement officers in Texas the tools that they need to keep criminals off the streets. For the past 60 years the group has worked with Judges prosecutors and lawmakers as the voice for law enforcement in Texas. TMPA also provides training programs to police across the state at no cost to the officers. Kevin Lawrence Executive Director of TMPA stated We are confident that Jeff Leach will be a strong voice for law enforcement in the Texas Legislature a staunch defender of the Constitution and as tough as nails on crime. Lawrence further stated that over 18000 law enforcement officers and first responders who are members of TMPA appreciate Jeff Leachs hard work dedication and strong family values and his belief in giving law enforcement officers the tools they need in order to take criminals off the streets and keep them off. We need Jeff Leachs tough on crime attitude dedication and staunch defense of the constitution working for us in the Texas Legislature. Lawrence said. Therefore it is without hesitation that we whole-heartedly support him in his election to the Texas House. In response to TMPAs endorsement Leach stated I am incredibly grateful and proud to have the support of such a courageous group of men and women. Law enforcement officers are Texas first line of defense against increasingly dangerous crimes and situations. Texans depend on law enforcement every day for help and support and I am honored that the TMPA supports my election to the Texas House of Representatives. Running for Texas House of Representative in District 67 Jeff Leach was raised in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He is a graduate of SMUs Dedman School of Law and currently practices with the law firm of Griffith Nixon Davison P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University. Jeff and his wife Becky are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. They live in Plano with their two children Brady age 4 and Charlotte age 1. In addition to numerous elected officials and community leaders across North Texas and in District 67 Leach has previously earned endorsements from statewide organizations including Texans For Fiscal Responsibility Young Conservatives of Texas Concerned Women for America Texas Right to Life Conservative Republicans of Texas and the Collin County Conservative Republicans among others. Leach is also A rated by the NRA and is the only candidate in the race for House District 67 that has been TeaApproved by the North Texas Tea Party.
