Dallas - Justice Jim Moseley of the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas formally announced he is running for Texas Supreme Court in the 2010 Republican Primary. Justice Moseley will be running for place 3 on the Court which is currently held by Justice Harriet ONeill. (Justice ONeill has announced she will not seek re-election.)It is critical that our Supreme Court justices have the experience to rule wisely on the issues that will come before them the work ethic to keep up with the courts significant workload and a proven judicial philosophy that values both the rule of law and the role of juries in our legal system Moseley said.
My 31 years experience as an attorney including 13 years as a justice on the court of appeals and four years service with the FTC during the Reagan administration has prepared me to be that kind of justice on the Texas Supreme Court said Moseley.

Texans elect judges on a partisan basis but a judges rulings must be non-partisan Moseley said. There is no such thing as Democratic or Republican justice. My past support from all segments of the legal community is proof that I take this ideal to heart--and that I will apply the law fairly and without bias.
