Sales tax allocations up 10.3 over same period last year
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said business spending in the Oil & Gas Sector as well as in manufacturing reflect economic increases for 16 months in a row. Allocations being returned to Local Governments across the state from July sales tax revenues which totaled $1.86 billion are up 10.3 compared to July 2010.
Local governments across the state will soon receive allocations from July sales tax revenues which totaled $1.86 billion - a 10.3 increase compared to July 2010. Local tax districts will receive a combined $606.7 million in allocations a 9.1 increase from a year ago.

Texas cities will receive $406.8 million up 8.4 over the same period last year.
Texas counties will get $37.6 million up 11.6.
Local transit systems will collect $135 million up 9.4; and special purpose taxing districts will take $27.1 million up 15.3 compared to last year.
