Lakeway

2Dear Voter: Please vote tomorrow for the Lake Travis Independent School Districts request for a two-cent tax increase which will cost the average-value homeowner about $60 a year or $5 a month. The revenue -- about $1.2 million each year -- will slow down the current decline in the districts reserves.  Strong reserves will protect the districts AA bond rating so we can get the best deal on bonds to build the next middle school in the Bee Creek area during the 2011/2012 school years. Also these two cents are not subject to the states Robin Hood recapture rules so all the money will stay in our district. This increase makes good business sense and is a wise investment because if the districts bond rating is downgraded well either have to pay a higher interest rate on bonds or pay for an insurance premium that provides us access to lower-cost bonds.  In essence we pay two cents now or we pay more later. We feel that Two cents makes sense. Dont forget -- Please vote for two cents tomorrow! Thanks! Robert Salgo       A political advertisement paid for by the Two-Penny PAC Robert Salgo Treasurer.
