Heflin voted against Choose Life
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas We enthusiastically endorse Jim Landtroop in his bid for the state house said Joe Pojman of Texas Alliance for Life PAC. Jim is a loyal advocate for the protection of unborn babies & their mothers. TAL is convinced he will fight for life on behalf of the many conservatives in West Texas.
Said Pojman Jims opponent Rep. Joe Heflin the Democratic nominee received a 100 Pro-Choice rating from a leading group advocating legal abortion on demand NARAL Pro-Choice Texas said Pojman.
Mr. Heflin also noted on the TAL candidate survey in March that he supports public funding for Planned Parenthood which runs the largest chain of abortion facilities in Texas.
House District 85 needs a leader who is unrelentingly pro-life and Rep. Heflin has changed. If he was pro-life before he no longer is now.
He has shown that he is not committed to defending the unborn. We believe that Jim Landtroop is without question the best person for the job Pojman said.
Most recently during the 81st Regular Session of the Texas Legislature Joe Heflin voted to gut a bill to create a new Texas license plate with the positive message Choose Life. The plate would promote adoption as a compassionate alternative to abortion

by raising funds for pro-life pregnancy resource centers non-profit organizations that assist pregnant women.
Heflin voted against the message Choose Life (record vote 563) and against providing funds to the pro-life pregnancy resource centers (record vote 564).
Landtroop was humbled by the endorsement.
I have spent a lifetime fighting for conservative principles such as defending life. I put that commitment in writing when I listed Pass legislation recognizing that life begins at conception as one of my 11 points of focus on my conservative Contract with West Texas said Landtroop.
My wife Cathy has served on our local Compassionate Care Pregnancy Center Board of Directors for many years Landtroop added. She and I regularly

donate and help support their pro-life mission here in our hometown.
My Democrat opponents support for tax-payer funding for Planned Parenthood along with his 100 percent rating with pro-abortion group NARAL indicates why the choice in this race could not be more clear. I am thrilled that the Texas Alliance for Life agrees with me and the majority of West Texans. As a Christian nation we must protect life Landtroop said.
