Jim Landtroop has proven his commitment to supporting agriculture and rural Texas. We are proud to call him a friend and are committed to helping his campaign to keep him in the Texas House of Representatives said Ken Hodges with Texas Farm Bureaus Ken Hodges earlier today as the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND endorsed State Rep. Jim Landtroop for re-election to House District 88.
Texas Farm Bureau was founded in 1993 and since then they have been committed to providing a voice for farmers ranchers and all Texans who are interested in preserving and protecting our way of life.
I am honored to receive the endorsement of Texas Farm Bureau. As a member of the House Agriculture and Livestock Committee I worked hand in hand with Farm Bureau to protect private property rights reduce regulatory burdens for agriculture and ensure rural Texas voice in Austin stated Rep. Landtroop.
I understand that landowners water is theirs and doesnt belong to the water districts or cities along I35. I helped pass legislation to protect landowners private property rights and was pleased when the Supreme Court upheld that good legislation. I look forward to working with Texas Farm Bureau again next session to maintain an environment that will allow our farmers and ranchers to be successful.
Representative Jim Landtroop was named the 4th most conservative member of the Texas House of Representatives by the James A. Baker Institute and served on both the Agriculture and Livestock Committee and the Defense and Veterans Affairs Committee.
He was Vice-Chairmen Rural Caucus and a member of the Republican Policy Caucus Committee. Most recently he was appointed to represent Texas on the International Energy Council.
