Cites Gonzales experience at Lt. Gov & Texas AGs Offices
Texas Insider has just learned that James Bernsen candidate for Texas House of Representatives District 52 has suspended his campaign and announced support of Round Rock businessman Larry Gonzales.
District 52 located just north of the Austin city limits includes Round Rock and Southern Williamson County. While expressing confidence that any Republican currently in the race would better represent the district than the incumbent Democrat Bernsen said Gonzales experience makes him the best candidate.
Today Im supporting Larry Gonzales because Larry shares my values and my concern for issues important to Williamson County and Texas" Bernsen said. Larry has the experience not just to win but to govern. This upcoming legislative session will be crucial for our community and we need a strong representative in Austin fighting for us."
Gonzales served as an aide to the Lieutenant Governor the Texas Attorney General and a key Republican representative helping craft the states budget. He has also run a small business and knows the importance of keeping taxes and regulations low in order to help grow our states economy.
Larry is ideally suited for this job and Im excited to be supporting him" Bernsen said. This has never been about me its about ensuring that Williamson County has a common-sense representative who reflects our conservative values in Austin and can get things done. I have found the right man for the job and that man is Larry Gonzales."
Gonzales said he was thankful for Bernsens support and promised to fight for the values the two candidates share.
