Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas I am shocked and saddened by President Obamas latest executive decree that threatens our childrens safety usurps the rule of law and undermines our Constitution. To be clear we should commit to loving our neighbors work to respect differing viewpoints and strive to protect all citizens no matter their age race or gender. But there comes a time when lines in the sand need to be drawn; when right needs to be called right and wrong needs to be called wrong.
Make no mistake - Texas will not be bullied into adopting this arbitrary executive dictate that has had no public parental input no legislative approval and that puts the safety of our children in jeopardy.
As a parent of children in public schools and as a legislator I join with Governor Abbott Lieutenant Governor Patrick Attorney General Paxton and other State leaders in saying Enough is Enough and fighting back.
I am committed to doing everything in my power to fight the Obama Administrations decree and I encourage all school boards and Superintendents across the state to do the same.
