Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Freedom is under attack in our country ... by leaders who think more government is the answer. We know that
more freedom is the answer. We believe that the Republican Party is still the party of freedom today.
By working together as Republicans on the same team we can further the cause of freedom in this exceptional country. We have work to do and not a moment to waste. We have a mission to accomplish together as a team.
As a member of the team you are more powerful than you know. What do we mean by this?
The experts have given us plans of action needed to win in November. However if the same plan of action is given to two different people two very different outcomes likely result. In other words how a plan of action is executed matters just as much as having a plan of action itself.
This is why you may have more influence than you realize. No matter what level of leadership you are in or whether you are a volunteer or a paid employee there is a connection between your behavior and your organizations effectiveness.
Between any plan of action and the action itself is the specific behavior of a leader in other words the action that you take. Years of research and an entire leadership development industry confirm

this.
For example if you try to do everything yourself and do not delegate the organization will only do as much as you are capable. Your organization will be stifled by lower productivity and a less motivated worker base that does not feel a part of your organization.
If you do not build teams or manage conflict among team members your team may not reach its goal efficiently. Since electing Republicans is your mission by strengthening your leadership skills and thereby your organizations ability to accomplish its mission you can arguably increase the likelihood of electing Republicans.
Our mission in writing these weekly columns and also the book Leading for Freedom is to inspire challenge and equip Republicans with leadership development tools needed to be successful. We do not wish for Republicans to work harder or longer but more efficiently in pursuit of freedom.
Throughout the weeks to come in this series just as in our book we will explore the following leadership skills:
- Trust Building
- Motivating yourself and others
- Team building delegating
- Communicating
- Managing conflict and
- Goal setting
Leadership skills can be studied and learned. Many people have gifts and talents that exhibit leadership potential; however to become a great leader it requires skills that come from a commitment to ongoing development experience and learning from experience.
The actions you take and the decisions you make today and in the future will most certainly make an impact not only on your Republican organization but ultimately on the fabric of our country.
WEEKLY LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE
Each week we will close with a Leadership Challenge. We hope you will join us on our leadership development journey.
This week we challenge you to commit to the process of leadership development not only because it will serve you both personally and professionally but also for the purpose of strengthening the Republican organization in the pursuit of freedom. Imagine the compounded results we can have if we are united in this commitment.
COMING NEXT WEEK: INTRODUCTION TO TRUST BUILDING"
Next week we will begin our leadership skills development series by exploring the foundation of leadership trust. After all leaders who do not have the trust of the very people they supervise

report to and/or otherwise work with cannot lead in the best sense of the word.
It is certainly possible to have a title" and not be considered a leader." We will explore actions that you can take to build or maintain trust. It takes time to build trust and only one moment to lose it all.
