Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON DC The word taxmageddon" and the phrase fiscal cliff" are more than just political jargon - they describe the $494 billion tax increase set to take effect on January 1 2013. And this tax increase wont just hit millionaires and billionaires" or big business" it will be paid by you and your family. In fact some estimates say it could cost every family in the 6th District an additional $3052 in taxes next year alone with rates going up in future years.
Big decisions will be made in Congress over the next few months and years from dealing with the federal deficit to the fight over health care reform. And I want your input. I want to know what you think should be done in Washington.
You are my boss. You elected me to work for you. I believe the best way to serve the people of the 6th District is to talk to you directly. I want to let you know what is going on in the Nations Capital but most importantly I want to answer your questions and listen to your concerns.
Over the next few weeks I will be holding a series of townhall meetings all over the area. The floor will be yours. We can discuss a wide range of topics from rising gas prices to the economy but this is your meeting so you will guide the conversation.
