Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Fort Worth Texas The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will host a ranch gathering Thursday September 18 at the Gonzales American Legion Hall in Gonzales Texas. Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a complimentary beef dinner.
The event is free and open to the public.
TSCRA Special Ranger Gary Baros will provide a law enforcement update and offer ranchers advice on how they can keep their livestock and equipment safe and secure. Texas Beef Council staff will provide an update on the Texas Beef Checkoff. Additionally TSCRA staff will update cattle raisers on important legislative issues.

To get to the Gonzales American Legion Hall from the intersection of Hwy 183 and Alt 90/Hwy 97 travel east on Alt 90/Hwy 97 for 1.2 miles. Turn right onto Robertson Street. After .2 miles the American Legion will be on your left.
The ranch gathering is sponsored by Novartis Animal Health Capital Farm Credit and Wortham Insurance and Risk Management. Anyone who joins TSCRA at the gathering will receive a free metal gate sign courtesy of Bayer Animal Health and New Holland Agriculture.
All members of the press are invited to attend.
TSCRA is a 137-year-old trade association and is the largest and oldest livestock organization based in Texas. TSCRA has more than 16000 beef cattle operations ranching families and businesses as members. These members represent approximately 50000 individuals directly involved in ranching and beef production who manage 4 million head of cattle on 76 million acres of range and pasture land primarily in Texas and Oklahoma but throughout the Southwest.
