Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas The retired General responsible for nabbing Manuel Noriega Army Lt. General Marc Cisneros today announced his support for Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson in his race for Commissioner of the Texas General Land Office.
Cisneros a tenth generation South Texan and independent is well respected across Texas and particularly in the Rio Grande Valley a key battleground for the November election.
I am deeply honored to earn the support of a patriot like General Cisneros" said Patterson.
His long distinguished career has brought honor to Texas and our nation. The tenacity and courage shown in the operation to capture Gen. Manuel Noriega in Panama in 1989 highlights the values of this one-of-a-kind Texan" Patterson said.
In a radio ad that began airing today General Cisneros called on all Texas veterans to go to the polls on November 2nd to support someone who has
always supported us."
Cisneros says Patterson keeps his promises and has lead to the greatest expansion of veterans benefits since World War II.
The ad is only one of several different ads Patterson is airing in the weeks before the November election.
