Lt. Gov. Dewhurst Announces Major RNC, SREC Backing

david-dewhurst2Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – I’m proud to support Lt. Governor David Dewhurst for re-election! Thanks to his leadership more pro-life legislation has been passed during his tenure than during any other time in our history,” remarked Cathie Adams (right,) President of the Texas Eagle Forum, a former Cathie Adams gop3bRNC National Committee member from Texas and former Chair of the Texas Republican Party earlier today, as Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst announced the endorsement of several SREC & former Texas RNC National Committee members.

“He deserves high honor, and re-election,” said Bill Crocker, former Republican National Committee (RNC) member from Texas and former RNC General Counsel

“As our Lieutenant Governor, David Dewhurst has performed admirably through many years of service, been true to the values of Texas Republicans, been absolutely transparent, truthful and honest, and worked for everyone and every group but himself,” said Crocker.

“David Dewhurst has the courage of his convictions and has proven that he will fight for those values,” Adams said.

“As a former RNC national committeewoman, community volunteer, and most importantly a mother of six, I know the challenges of raising a family, living within our means, and planning for the future. David Dewhurst rose from humble beginnings, built a successful business and now serves as our Lieutenant Governor,” said Dewhurst-Senate-Floor 5-20-13Penny Butler, a former RNC National Committee person.

“He is keenly aware that state government serves the public best when it is focused on the expansion of freedom and opportunity for all. His vision and commitment to Texas has no equal in this race and I proudly support his reelection!” said Butler.

“As a lifelong grassroots volunteer, precinct chair and former SREC member, I have seen my fair share of elected officials come and go and Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst has consistently impressed me on his commitment to the people of Texas and his depth of knowledge on the issues,” said Melba McDow, a national committee member for the National Federation of Republican Assemblies and former SREC member from SD 10.

“His leadership skills leading the Texas Senate are just one part of what has made Texas a special place to live,” McDow said.
