Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas The biggest scandal in Washington is Benghazi. No the IRS affair. Lois Lerner the woman in charge of targeting Tea Parties in the IRS says shes innocent but
invokes her 5th Amendment right against self incrimination so maybe maybe not. Maybe its the emerging Dept. of Justice
vendetta against the news media. Heres what we know.
DOJ cast a broad net in looking at phone records of the Associated Press after the AP went with a story a day earlier than it had arranged with the Obama Administration that it would.
- Fox News reporter James Rosen was investigated and tracked after DOJ had him named as a co-conspirator" in a leak case.
- Now we find that DOJ tracked five Fox News phone numbers AND the phone records of James Rosens parents?
- Sharl Attkisson of CBS says her computer was hacked.
Recently on CNBC President Obama gave an interview in which he discussed an entire network" that isnt complimentary to his polices. Fox News of course a network Obama despises.
A free press is expressly protected in the 1st Amendment.
So whats the biggest scandal? Hard to say.
