AUSTIN Matthew Perdie a 23-year-old New York native is walking across the United States to raise awareness about out-of-control government spending and debt and to raise awareness about the Tea Party movement.
On Tuesday March 16 Matthew will be walking into Austin and making his way down Congress Avenue accompanied by an American flag and local conservatives who will meet him to encourage him along the way.
Perdie began his journey on June 22 2009 at the tip of Long Island NY and is making his way to southern California by foot. The purpose of this trip is to bring awareness to irresponsible federal government growth and an unprecedented push for power that will limit the personal freedoms of all Americans. It is also a documentary journey of discovery as Perdie wants to talk to and record testimony of real Americans firsthand.
