mccaul0116 WATCH McCauls Message HERE. Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C.  ISIS may be losing some ground in Syria and Iraq but globally it is on the march and expanding -- especially in North Africa" said Texas Congressman and House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul. Earlier today as he led a bipartisan Congressional delegation to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt to visit the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO) North Camp where hundreds of dedicated U.S. troops are working with other nations as part of a long-standing peacekeeping operation.    Visiting the Middle East and North Africa to assess the spread of Islamist terror and the threats that these brutal groups pose to the homeland the delegation focused on the growing presence of ISIS in the Sinai where the terror group has declared one of its provinces.Regarding his visit to the Sinai.
Said McCaul:We need to step up our counterterrorism training and assistance with partners like Egypt and our operations in places like Libya in order to roll back these safe havens. We cannot allow ISIS to develop more launching pads for plots against the West. I pressed this issue with the Egyptians and I plan to continue to push the Administration to develop a clear strategy for eliminating--not just containing--ISIS terror sanctuaries.
The Congressional delegation includes:·
  • Senator John Cornyn (R-TX)
  • Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX)
  • Rep. Bill Keating (D-MA)
  • Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY)
  • Rep. Michael Pompeo (R-KS) and
  • Rep. David Valadao (R-CA)
