She might have comprised top-level security secrets of the country

AUSTIN Texas (Texas Insider Report) If you believe the media is fair consider this.
When the New York Times ran a hit piece on Ted Cruz about a campaign filing the Dallas Morning News blared it from page 1 above the fold. But when a story broke that some emails found on Hillary Clintons home server were even more sensitive than top-secret that story made page 8-A. This is worse than a double standard.
Cruz should have filed the data about his loan but campaign filing snafus happen all the time. Security breaches committed by a major national political figures are rare.
General David Petraeus in a similar situation had the book thrown at him. So far Hillary walks the street free and unencumbered. Some people think she will be indicted. She is a former First Lady senator and Secretary of State. Her ethical problems should be front-page news.
Maybe the source of the story was a problem to the Morning News.
This new development was
first reported by FOX News. It made the front page of some papers and was on a segment or two of cable news networks when not drowned out by Trump. It should have been front and center in all news media.
Consider:
These new security breaches involve special access programs" and are so sensitive that Inspector General Charles McCullough sought a sworn declaration from those involved in reviewing the emails. The importance of these emails is underscored by the fact that McCullough and his staff had to receive clearance to be read in on it before viewing the sworn declaration.
And yet Hillary Clinton played fast and loose with this information. She might have comprised top-level security secrets of the country she was supposed to be serving. At this point no one knows who may have hacked into her server.
The Clinton campaigns response.

The response was certainly Clintonian. The campaign
attacked the Inspector General. The campaign called it nothing more than…
the same interagency dispute that has been playing out for months."
The campaign went on to say the finding…
does not change the fact that the emails were not classified at the time they were sent or released."
This has been Hillarys defense from the start. But as Secretary of State it was her job to know what was sensitive. She has nowhere to hide and this is not a legal defense.
The campaign added:
It is alarming that the intelligence community IG working with Republicans in Congress continues to resurface the same allegations and try to hurt Hillary Clintons presidential campaign."
So President Obamas Inspector General is secretly collaborating with Republicans in a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy to damage the Clintons. Somebody call Alex Jones!
Meanwhile Ted Cruz has owned up to his filing error and moved on.
As for the Hillary story even NBC News picked it up and ran a very
well-written story at the NBC News website. The Dallas Morning News is a paper I write for from time to time not so much these days due to an editorial shift and it has been a fair and balanced paper through the years as it still claims to be.
I have always admired this newspaper and have been proud to see my work in its editorial section. However…
Putting a mild Cruz scandal" on page 1 and a major Hillary security breach on page 8A should give its editors

and its readers something to think about.
