Texas Insider Report: Washington D.C. One comment that President Obama made during his recent news confence that hasnt been getting much attention came after Obama was defending his health care law to liberals for making progress despite the need for compromise. He said ...
(B)ecause its a big diverse country and people have a lot of complicated positions it means that in order to get stuff done were going to compromise.
This is why FDR when he started Social Security it only affected widows and orphans. You did not qualify.
And yet now it is something that really helps a lot of people. When Medicare was started it was a small program. It grew.
Yet that was the precise argument that critics of ObamaCare were making throughout the health care debate.
That it didnt only matter what was in this specific piece of legislation but the

path that it put us down.
Inevitably ObamaCare will expand over time and just like the other major enititlentment programs cost signifcantly more than originally proposed and
threaten our nations fiscal sustainability.
