The Democrats should not be playing politics with the Defense Authorization Bill especially when the brave men and women of our military are serving in harms way. The hate crimes legislation has not gone through the full committee process and there is no substantive reason to parachute this non-germane amendment into the bill that supplies the arms and salary authorization for our troops."
