to run for the U.S. Senate seat she expects Senator Hutchison to vacate I am exploring possibilities concerning the State Senate seat Senator Shapiro may vacate to run for U.S. Senate. Given the likelihood that a statewide campaign will create a vacancy in Senate District 8 many people have encouraged me to be a candidate for the Texas Senate.
