When it comes to fiscal discipline Democrats say one thing and do another. On the one hand they vow to rein in deficit spending promote transparency and enforce strict budget pay-as-you-go rules. Then they turn around and throw their own rules out the window so they can force through a bill that not only poisons the well for future bipartisan efforts in the Senate but also one that the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says violates Democrats own budget rules. It is this inconsistency thats fueling uncertainty and forcing job creators to sit on the sidelines."
