Obama was politically toxic and deferred to candidates who asked him to stay away.

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. In the wake of the November elections
all the media want to talk about are the divisions within the GOP. While there is certainly some truth to such reports
it is also true and vastly under-reported that
the Democratic
Party is even more so deeply divided. Evidence of the division? Some among
the left-wing base are resisting Hillary Clintons coronation as the partys inevitable nominee.
NBCs Chuck Todd recently said that the Elections results should put an end to Obamas amnesty. Amnesty now would be politically provocative Todd said adding
The president is going to know that if he does this he is starting a political war in Washington.
CNNs Candy Crowley said We dont know what hes going to do executive order-wise on immigration but if he makes a major move along the lines of what weve been hearing . . . that would be like just popping a grenade and throwing it in the middle of the Senate floor.

For another example last week Senator Chuck Schumer of New York the Senates 3rd highest-ranking Democrat said that passing Obamacare in 2010 was a mistake. He said Americans were crying out for an end to the recession for better wages and more jobs; not for changes in their healthcare.
Meanwhile the
news about Obamacare continues to cause heartburn for many on the left. It was recently reported that the Obama Administration inflated last years enrollment figures by including people who signed up only for dental plans.
Controversy over inflated Obamacare enrollment numbers has renewed demands for the administration to be far more open about sign-up data and other crucial aspects of the health care law.
And its not just Republican opponents on the Hill insisting on change: Consumer groups health experts and even strong Obamacare advocates are pushing for the administration to be more forthcoming.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issas committee revealed Thursday that nearly 400000 dental plans were included in recent enrollment figures that made it appear wrongly that the administration had hit the 7 million target for Obamacares first year.
We have also learned that Obamacare includes a perverse incentive for businesses to hire illegal immigrants. Obamas executive amnesty will provide work

permits to as many as 5 million illegal immigrants. But they wont be eligible for Obamacare.
Under the Affordable Care Act
the Washington Times reports that means businesses who hire them wont have to pay a penalty for not providing them health coverage -- making them $3000 more attractive than a similar native-born worker whom the business by law would have to cover.
Labor unions already bitterly disappointed with Obamacare will be hard pressed to defend that sellout of American workers.
And heres more evidence of division: Some among
the left-wing base are resisting Hillary Clintons coronation as the partys inevitable nominee.
Barack Gives America The Bird
EDITORs NOTE: From Bauers Thursday November 6th notes: Any hope one might have had that Obama was in fact listening to the voters was dashed yesterday when he doubled down on an executive amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
Obama knows just how unpopular amnesty is. Remember earlier in the year Obama vowed that if the Senates comprehensive immigration reform bill failed to pass he would act on his own by the end of the summer.

Then reality smacked him in the face. The public was outraged. A September Rasmussen poll found that 62 of likely voters opposed such action.
Democrats were in full panic mode pleading with him to drop the issue. Listening to the voters then Obama backed down -- sort of. Over Labor Day weekend Obama announced that he was delaying the amnesty until after the elections.
One commentator said that if Democrats lost the Senate the White House didnt want to see headlines blaming Obamas amnesty as the reason. But the delay didnt fool the voters.
So when he doubles down on amnesty who is Obama listening to? The 26 who support it I suppose.
The National Journals Ron Fournier tweeted After this repudiation acting on #immigration by fiat would be the political equivalent of literally flipping the country the bird.
Obama: I Hear You... Not!
The Washington Post continued its post-election coverage with a front page (November 6th) story headlined
Obama To Voters: I Hear You. That is what Obama said but no one believes it -- not even the Posts liberal columnists.
I dont think Obama believes it ether. During his press conference yesterday Obama made a bizarre statement that hasnt gotten the attention I think it deserves. Obama said:
To everyone who voted I want you to know that I hear you. Fine so far and thats all most of the media are focusing on trying to make Obama sound conciliatory.
But then he added: To the two-thirds of voters who chose not to participate in the process yesterday I hear you too.
What exactly does that mean?
Even MSNBCs Chris Matthews who used to get a thrill up his leg listening to Obama had trouble with such conceit. Matthews said:
What I heard him do right now was I was right. We had the wrong electorate last night. Id prefer a different electorate. Id like the two-thirds of the people who didnt vote to go vote. Well they didnt vote. They didnt show up.
Unlike Bill Clinton Obama shows no signs of yielding or compromising to meet Republicans half way.
And you dont have to take my word for it. After describing how the 2014 elections were an even more stinging defeat for Democrats the Washington Posts E.J. Dionne says of Obama A dismissive shrug is inappropriate.

The Posts Dana Milbank called the elections a political earthquake. But the voters message Milbank writes
went in one presidential ear and out the other.
