The president is in actually remarkably good shape given that he is still struggling to help pull our economy out of the Republican the Republican recession that he inherited. His numbers are still strong. He still has widespread support. If anyone is in trouble its the Republican Party she said.
Obamas numbers arent stellar on their own but they improve somewhat when hes matched against Republicans.

Democrats are betting that the conservative strand thats dominating the GOP right now will advantage the president in 2012.
Right now they have a collection of candidates for president who are busy trying to out-right-wing each other Wasserman Schultz argued.
Essentially they are all so similar that they might as well be Legos; theyre that interchangeable.
