Obamas Re-Election Bid in Good Shape says Party Leader

If anyone is in trouble its the Republican Party. width=161Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. Not at all said Cong. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) the Democratic National Committee Chairwoman when asked Sunday on CBSs Face the Nation if she thought President Obama was in political trouble.  Wasserman Schultz said Obamas reelection effort is in remarkably good shape asserting she doesnt think the presidents bid for a 2nd term is in trouble.   The president is in actually remarkably good shape given that he is still struggling to help pull our economy out of the Republican the Republican recession that he inherited. His numbers are still strong. He still has widespread support. If anyone is in trouble its the Republican Party she said. Obamas numbers arent stellar on their own but they improve somewhat when hes matched against Republicans. width=127Democrats are betting that the conservative strand thats dominating the GOP right now will advantage the president in 2012. Right now they have a collection of candidates for president who are busy trying to out-right-wing each other Wasserman Schultz argued. Essentially they are all so similar that they might as well be Legos; theyre that interchangeable.
