Olson Admonishes Veterans Administration for Continued Long Wait Lines

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C.  Secretary McDonald was quoted comparing wait times our veterans face at the VA to the wait time at Disneyland Amusement Park said Cong.. Pete Olson (TX-22) today following comments made by Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Robert McDonald regarding long wait lines at the VA.   

It is unconscionable to compare wait times for an amusement park to our nations veterans in dire need of critical healthcare. Individuals are not dying as a consequence of the long wait lines at Disneyland. Secretary McDonald was tapped to lead the VA out of a crisis that led to the death of some of our honorable veterans waiting for care they never received. The Department of Veterans Affairs is not a theme park and it is not a business it is a critical agency in charge of providing the care our nations heroes desperately need when they return from battle. I urge a serious approach to fixing the problems at the VA" Olson said.
