Washington DC - Keeping a promise to fight to eliminate federal funding for abortion providers today Representative Pete Olson signed on as an original co-sponsor of the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act.
This legislation would prevent organizations such as Planned Parenthood that promote or perform abortions from obtaining federal family planning money.
“We must continue to promote a culture of life in our country” stated Olson. “Pro-life American taxpayers like me who hold strong ethical objections to abortion should not see their tax dollars subsidize abortion providers. I will push hard along with Congressman Pence and my colleagues to end this unacceptable practice.”
The author of this legislation Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) said: “I appreciate Congressman Pete Olson’s support of this critical legislation. In the short time that Congressman Olson has been in office he has already demonstrated courageous and principled leadership on issues that are important to millions of pro-life Americans.
