Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas -- (Sugar Land TX) Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today announced the names of the students from the Twenty-Second Congressional District of Texas who received appointments to Americas service academies. A total of seven academy appointees were selected from schools across the 22nd Congressional District. These young men were offered appointments by the U.S. Air Force Academy U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy.
These students represent the best and brightest students in America Rep. Pete Olson said. Each one has been selected through a rigorous process to train to become military leaders. Their accomplishments and selection bring enormous pride to their families communities and our nation. Its an honor to recognize these brave young men who have committed to protect and defend our nation through service in our military academies.
