Olson to Host Human Trafficking Roundtable

Joan Huffman to join in South BeltEllington Chamber Event pete-olson SUGAR LAND Texas (Texas Insider Report) With I-10 in Houston known as the most intense trafficking jurisdiction in America human trafficking is a growing problem in the Houston area. Congressman Pete Olson (TX-22) will host a human trafficking roundtable on Thursday October 16th at the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce to increase awareness and identify needs in our community to protect our children from falling victim to this growing problem.   According to a 2011 Department of Justice report every year as many as 300000 children in the U.S. are at risk for sexual exploitation including sex trafficking. This roundtable will provide an important opportunity for experts to dissect the problem and share ideas to develop solutions to help protect our children.
