With our national debt a staggering $18 trillion and federal spending on an unsustainable path we must act now Rep. Olson said. We cant afford to saddle our children and grandchildren with a legacy of debt they cant afford. Americans deserve a government willing to make the tough decisions and develop strong fiscal and economic policies that shift spending from Washington special interests in support of families businesses innovators and local leaders.
The House has again presented a clear vision by passing a budget that balances in ten years. President Obama has never proposed a balanced budget or any plan to rein in spending. A balanced budget means a stronger economy and more opportunity for hard-working Americans."
A Balanced Budget for a Stronger America balances the federal budget in less than 10 years and cuts $5.5 trillion in spending more cuts than any previous House Budget Committee proposal. In addition it fully repeals Obamacare and promotes patient-centered health care solution.
