exas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas –Dear Lojiks: Down in Austin, your school district has sued you for more money, and you are now back in court. Good luck, but here’s the bigger story. Schools are not failing in Texas because there is not enough money.  They are failing because of the breakup of the family.

A single mom, living on welfare, with several kids and no husband, is simply trying to get by.  She is usually not well educated (IMHO) and helping kids with homework is not her thing.  Besides “The Bachelor” may be on TV.

The abortion movement and the homosexual agenda have both worked against families.

Look, I caught some flak on FACEBOOK for comments about Jeff Davis (Wendy’s ex) staying home with two girls (ages 2 and 8) when Wendy went off to Harvard.  You’ll have to excuse old-fashioned me. Women are arne duncan Obama3d  designed to nurture babies.  Men are not.  It’s that simple.  Wendy Davis should have put off her education to raise her kids.  Men can’t do it as well as women. Fact. Next.

obama arne duncan educationNow back to schools.

I have a column by Thomas L. Freidman talking about Obama’s U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan (right) and South Korea.  The story goes that Duncan is talking about Obama’s meeting with President Lee.  The US president asks the South Korean president what his biggest problem is with education.  Lee answers that parents are too demanding.

No, we don’t have that problem here.

Our school districts are suing us for more money.  They should be inundated by fervent demands from parents, and taxpayers, that they do better.  If we still had intact families, this would all be so different. But progressives (the new name for liberals) have succeeded in screwing up this country.

Speaking of schools, growth in west Temple, Texas is causing Belton ISD Trustees to consider a second high school.  Due to a stupid agreement in days of yore, BISD extends into much of Temple — and it’s a growth area.

These two school districts are intertwined, and Temple High sits with a dwindling enrollment and plenty of room.  If these two districts merged — as they should — no new school construction would be necessary.  But post-abortionthat’s not how government works, is it?

We have reached the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade — a despicable court intervention that has taken 55,000,000 lives.  (Not counting dead women who failed to survive their abortions.)

There’s a letter in the Dallas Morning News today about a pro-life rally that got covered only with a blub on the obituary page.  At least, they covered it.  Meanwhile. the Wendy Davis story is all over the national news.  With Wendy Davis and Sarah Weddington both from Texas, it’s nice to think that we are STILL a pro-life state.

Here’s a little factoid from this morning’s Temple paper. You may recognize the behavior in your city, too.

The City Council has authorized a construction contract to improve South Pea Ridge Road. Good. The road needs it.  R. T. Schneider Construction Co. was awarded the work.  But Russell Schneider is a member of the lynn-woolley-Show-Click-thruCity Council.  This cronyism needs to stop.  It is called a conflict of interest, or if you prefer — corruption.

Get bundled up, as more global warming is set to hit Texas tomorrow.  Take a stand.

Logically,

Lynn Woolley
