Cruz has been publicly endorsed by markedly more Republican women leaders than has any other campaign. Indeed Cruz has been endorsed by over half of the current statewide leadership of TFRW that is permitted to and intends to endorse in Republican primaries.(Note: These are individual endorsements. The Texas Federation of Republican Women does not and cannot endorse in a Republican primary and current TFRW club Presidents and Campaign Activities Chairs are not permitted to endorse.)
I am honored and humbled to have the support of Republican Women all across Texas Cruz said. Nothing in Texas politics is more unstoppable than the passion and commitment of Republican Women." Diane Fulton the former President of the Austin Republican Womens Club said that there is a stark contrast among the candidates running for Senate in Texas. This election isnt about just electing any Republican. These are serious times and we need a Senator who will lead the fight for Texas" Fulton said. The grassroots are with Ted period. Simply put Ted Cruz is a conservative we can trust. He doesnt just talk conservative he has walked the walk" TFRW District Director Sue De Villez stated. Ted Cruz has a proven track record of standing up and leading the fight to defeat the Obama agenda. In addition to over 200 Republican women leaders conservative leaders all across Texas have coalesced around the Cruz campaign including: Cathie Adams Ernie Angelo David Barton George P. Bush Tim Lambert Kelly Shackelford George Strake and Peggy Venable. To date Cruz is the only candidate in the country to be endorsed by three of the leading conservative organizations in a Republican Senate primary: FreedomWorks PAC Club for Growth PAC and the Senate Conservatives Fund. It is is also the only campaign in the country supported by four of the very strongest conservatives in the Senate: Jim DeMint Mike Lee Rand Paul and Pat Toomey.
