Patterson Endorses Rep. Paul Workman for House Dist. 47 Re-Election

S. Marine Vietnam veteran who from 1993 to 1999 served as state senator for District 11 including Harris Galveston and Brazoria counties. In November 2002 Commissioner Patterson was elected as the 27th Texas Land Commissioner. He was re-elected to a third term in 2010. While in the Legislature Commissioner Patterson authored Texas historic concealed handgun law a constitutional amendment permitting home equity lending in Texas the Texas coastal management plan and the creation of the Texas State Veterans Home Program. Workman has a solid conservative record in the Texas Legislature said Patterson co-sponsoring Texas new Voter ID law to ensure the width=165integrity of our elections. Workman voted to ensure proof of citizenship is required to obtain a Texas drivers license and supporteda doubling in funding for border security operations in Texas enabling the DPS to hire more manpower purchase new air surveillance equipment as well as high-speed watercraft to patrol our border with Mexico.
