Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Today, Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson has launched a new and redesigned website in his race for Lieutenant Governor in the 2014 Republican Primary.
“If you’re weak in your convictions or don’t like facts,” Patterson continued, “then don’t go to this website.”
The new website, votepatterson.com, focuses squarely on Patterson’s conservative credentials and highlights his record of fearless leadership during his 24-year career in the United States Marine Corps, and his service in the Texas Senate and as Texas Land Commissioner.
“On this website, Texans are going to get a lot of information that comes directly from me,” said Patterson. “I’m well known for being straightforward with my views, and I have personally written each of the issues on the new site.”
Patterson continued, “My new website features detailed discussions on key issues, and more importantly – it offers specific solutions and plans for moving Texas forward. From my unwavering leadership on the 2nd Amendment to a frank and historically-based discussion on immigration reform – I am not afraid to take a stand and lead for conservative, Republican values. Folks are tired of the sound bites and slogans from consultant-driven candidates who seem more concerned with the next election than with the next generation. That’s not leadership, and its just not who I am or how I operate.”
“We’ve designed the site to facilitate communication with voters, and I invite feedback on any questions or issues. I answer my emails personally, and I also take an active part of voter discussions through Twitter and Facebook. We’ve taken a big lead on social media – on Facebook alone, we have recently reached 60,000+ “likes” on my campaign page, far more than any other candidate in this race. I continue to personally respond to questions or comments from voters, even when they disagree with me.
I’m a Marine and I’m a Texan – I have been raised to believe that leadership means being comfortable in who I am, what I will fight for, and what I believe. More so than any other candidate in this race – I have put forward a website that helps Texans know exactly where I stand and how I want to lead this state forward.”
Additionally, the Patterson campaign has launched a giveaway contest to help celebrate the upcoming start of dove season in Texas. From now until September 1st, visitors to the website will have a chance to register to win a Remington 12 gauge, 870 Express shotgun.
