Texas will continue to defend the 1st Amendment rights of citizens and fight against the Obama Administrations attempts to erode our religious liberties."
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today filed an amicus brief on behalf of 20 states with the U.S. Supreme Court in Little Sisters v. Burwell supporting the religious nonprofits right to exercise sincerely-held religious beliefs.

Attorney General Paxton has consistently and fervently defended religious liberty from federal intrusion. On August 10 the Attorney General filed another amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in Houston Baptist University v. Burwell in support of the petitioners fight against Obamacares contraception mandate which violates their religious beliefs.
