Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Nelson Balido of San Antonio and

Anne Keene of Austin to the Texas Historical Records Advisory Board. The board works to improve archival and records storage conditions throughout the state.
Balido is president of
the Border Trade Alliance. He is an alumnus of the Texas Lyceum Association a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and Public Relations Society of America and a Grammy Awards voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
He is also a member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and a past board member of the Texas Tech National Alumni Association Texas Commission on the Arts and Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas. He is a U.S. Navy Reserve public affairs

officer.
Balido received two bachelors degrees from Texas Tech University and a graduate certificate in Advanced International Affairs from the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government and Public Service. He is appointed for a term to expire Feb. 1 2014.
Keene is president and founder of the Crossnore Group LLC. She is a member of the Inherit Austin Heritage Society Texas Writers League University of Texas at Austin Blanton Museum and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is also a life member of the University of North Carolina Alumni Association and a volunteer for Marathon Kids and The Texas Book Festival. Keene received a bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is appointed for a term to expire Feb. 1 2015.
