Perry Appoints Donnell to Employee Retirement System Board of Directors

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Cydney C. Donnell of Fredericksburg to the Employee Retirement System Board of Directors for a term to expire Aug. 31 2012. The board oversees a $23 billion retirement fund and the administration of state employee and retiree health insurance benefits a deferred compensation plan and a flexible benefits program.
 
Donnell is an executive professor in the Mays Business School Finance Department at Texas A&M University where she oversees the graduate real estate program.
She previously worked as a managing director and portfolio manager at European Investors a diversified asset management firm. Donnell is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and formerly served on its board of governors. She is a past member of the Texas A&M Foundation Investment Advisory Committee and past board member of the Texas A&M University Association of Former Students. 
 
Donnell received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and master’s degree from Southern Methodist University
