AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has appointed John Flieller of Floresville and Jeffrey Neathery of San Antonio to the San Antonio River Authority Board of Directors for terms to expire at the Nov. 2009 general election. The board protects and manages the waters of the San Antonio River and its tributaries.
Flieller is vice president of Flieller Insurance Agency. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and Floresville Chamber of Commerce. Additionally he is a past member of the Sacred Heart School Council and director of the Wilson County Junior Livestock Show. Flieller received a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University. He replaces J.C. Turner of Wilson County.
Neathery is vice president of DNA Geosciences. He is a member of the Association of Engineering Geologists South Texas Geological Society and American Institute of Professional Geologists. He is also a member of the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce advisory board and San Antonio River Oversight Committee. Neathery received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering geology from Texas A&M University. He replaces Louis Rowe of San Antonio.
