Names Mountain as Presiding Officer

Mountain is founding and managing member of Accent Capital a venture capital firm. He previously worked as general manager and vice president of Dell Inc. Large Corporate Accounts. He also worked in sales and marketing with various high technology companies including Intelogic Trace and NBI. Mountain is a board member of Trinity Episcopal School and Unwired Buyer. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He will serve for a term at the pleasure of the governor.
Charles Bacarisse of Houston is district clerk for Harris County and is being reappointed to the board. He is a member of the Harris County Justice Information Management Systems Executive Board and serves as co-chairman of the Attorney General’s County Child Support Advisory Work Group. Bacarisse is a board member of the Houston Downtown Alliance and the Kiwanis Foundation of Houston.
He is also a member of the Sam Houston Area Council and Boy Scouts of America. Bacarisse is a past member of the State Bar of Texas Technology Advisory Committee and formerly chaired the Texas Online Authority board. Bacarisse received two bachelor’s degrees from Southern Methodist University. His term will expire Feb. 1 2013. This appointment is subject to senate confirmation.

Martinez of Brownsville is vice president of business affairs for the University of Texas at Brownsville and is a former appointee to the Texas Commission for Volunteerism and Community Service. She is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Martinez received a bachelor’s degree from Pan American University. Her term will expire Feb. 1 2013. This appointment is subject to senate confirmation.
Robert E. Pickering Jr. of Houston is CEO of LBI International and formerly worked as chairman and CEO of Origin a global information technology services company. He is a board member of Ora Holding B.V. and B and J Food Service Inc. He is also a past board member of Perficient Inc. and the American Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands. Pickering received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Baylor University. His term will expire Feb. 1 2009. This appointment is subject to senate confirmation.
