Perry Appoints Reyes to State Board of Examiners of Marriage & Family Therapists

AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry appointed Edna Reyes-Wilson of El Paso to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists for a term to expire Feb. 1 2011. The board adopts rules and regulations to license and regulate the qualifications and performance of marriage and family therapists in Texas.
 
Reyes-Wilson is a program director of the El Paso Center for Children. She previously worked in private practice for 16 years. She is a board member of the El Paso Psychological Society and member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization.
Additionally Reyes-Wilson is past president of Las Puertas Abiertas past treasurer of La Familia del Paso and a past board member of the YWCA of El Paso. She is a licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist.
 
Reyes-Wilson received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a doctorate degree from New Mexico State University.
