AUSTIN TX – Texas Governor Rick Perry today announced the consulting team that will lead his campaign for re-election in the 2010 race for governor. David Carney Michael Baselice and David Weeks will continue their long-term successful relationship with Perry as he seeks re-election.

These proven players with countless wins in Texas races will be invaluable in the months ahead as we work to keep Texas on the right track.”
Carney is a long-time Perry advisor and consultant to Republican candidates. He is founder and CEO of Norway Hill Associates a national consulting firm that has been involved in successful Texas races for years. He began working with Governor Perry during his race for Lieutenant Governor in 1997.
Baselice is President & CEO of Baselice & Associates Inc. a survey research firm which conducts opinion polling for decision making in politics and public affairs. Baselice is widely regarded as one of the most accurate pollsters in the country and has conducted the survey research for Perry’s winning statewide campaigns in 1998 2002 and 2006.
Weeks is founder and partner of Weeks & Co. one of the nation’s most experienced corporate and political communications firms. A fixture on the Texas political scene since 1974 Weeks has been Perry’s media consultant since helping him with a successful House race in 1986.
These individuals working with a variety of candidates helped bring about the dominance of the Republican Party in Texas beginning in the late eighties and early nineties.
