I support President Obamas decision to send additional troops into Afghanistan to bring peace and stability to an extremely volatile country and region. . . The challenges presented by Afghanistan are complex but yesterdays announcement was a step forward. I appreciate the Administrations ongoing efforts to conduct a strategic review of our mission in Afghanistan. I look forward to hearing the results of that review and learning how Congress can continue to support our troops."
