“The Back to School program helps provide a real life lesson in state government to the children these House members are visiting. When a real live state rep shows up in your classroom to talk about state government and what he or she does in the Capitol it helps today’s youth understand how Texas government works. It also helps send the message that they too should someday get involved.”
