Representative Francisco Quico Canseco
We will always remember the tragedy of September 11 2001.
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Ten years ago on a clear September morning Americans woke up to the terrible news that our country was under attack. This tragedy affected not only the United States but people and countries around the world. It was the single worst attack on American soil so many lives were needlessly lost. As we reflect on the past ten years we remember the men women and children who perished in these horrific attacks. On that tragic September morning we witnessed the American spirit at its brightest.
People selflessly helped each other get out of the burning towers and out of the wreckage of the Pentagon. We will never forget those brave servicemen and women who raced up the stairs of the World Trade Center to save lives. We will always remember the valor of those in United Airlines Flight 93 who took fate into their own hands saving countless lives. We have proven that Americans will stand strong together in times of tragedy.
Ten years later the World Trade Center is being rebuilt it stands as a memorial to all those we lost that day and as a reminder of the freedoms that make this the greatest nation in the world. I hope you will all join me in remembering those lost on September 11 2001 and all those affected by the attacks.
