Reminds Everyone To Applaud our Dedicated Workers
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas DALLAS TX - As part of the Labor Day holiday weekend Texas State Representative Roberto R. Alonzo took part in a number of events recognizing the dedicated work and achievements of our labor work force not only the Dallas area but statewide and nationally alike.
Among the events he took part in was a parade and rally hosted by the AFL-CIO in Dallas on Saturday August 30 2014 emphasizing support for raising of the federal minimum wage. The event was part of the Annual Labor Day March Raising Wages Works! Parade & Rally.
During his presentation the Dallas lawmaker and advocate of labor said: It important and necessary that we recognize and honor - not only during Labor Day weekend - but year-round the dedicated work accomplishments and commitment of our labor force and its workers.
These workers are the foundation the engine that drives our state and country in helping it achieve its economic status not only locally but all over the state and country. Additionally he said: . It is important we also recognize that due to the struggles that the American labor movement faced in search of its rights the American Union is now governed by a policy of justice equality democracy and freedom.
