Urges Student Applicants to Look into the Program DEADLINE to APPLY: May 9 2014
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Texas State Representative Roberto R. Alonzo today urged all qualified applicants from the community of Cockrell Hill to apply for the 2014 Waste Management Scholarship. Scholarships are available to any high school graduating senior residing in Cockrell Hill and applications are due by 4:00 pm Friday May 9 2014.
As a member of the House Higher Education Committee and firm advocate of all students getting a college education I encourage all qualified students to apply for the 2014 Waste Management Scholarship which is available to any graduating senior residing in Cockrell Hill. As a firm believer of a quality education for all students - including a college education I believe that this scholarship opportunity has so much potential in advancing the educational aspirations professional careers and dreams of so many young men and women not only in Texas but all over the country. In the end the recipients of this scholarship program especially will benefit our entire economic climate in the long run as they will become productive members of society and give back to those communities that have always supported them. As I have always said in the past without a doubt every capable Texas student like so many others across every corner of the country - should have the benefits of going to a college or university regardless of family income status ethnicity or prior collegiate track record in the immediate family. Equally important all Texans and Americans alike - and that includes Latinos - our new MAJORITY in TEXAS - should have the opportunity to succeed professionally and survive economically in our society whether it be in urban rural suburban east west north or south Texas continued Rep.
