I had a gallbladder attack last night and my doctors have advised that I stay home this week.
It is something that strikes millions of Americans every year. While painful my doctors have told me this is non-life threatening and treatable with a routine procedure that I will undergo next week.
I regret that I will miss votes in the House of Representatives but I will be monitoring the proceedings and sharing my opinions with leaders in Washington.
I expect to be back up and around after a short recovery period."
