Rep. Culberson Receives National Shooting Sports Foundations 2015 Legislator of the Year Award

john.culberson.4Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C.   Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) attended the National Shooting Sports Foundations (NSSF) annual dinner to receive the 2015 Legislator of the Year Award for his work to protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans. As Chairman of the Commerce Justice Science Subcommittee on Appropriations Rep. Culberson has oversight over the funding for the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives Agency (ATF). Rep. Culberson was honored with the award for being an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment and preventing the ATFs ban on popular green tip hunting ammunition. This popular ammunition is widely used by law-abiding Americans for target shooting and hunting. Im honored and deeply moved to receive this prestigious award from an organization that I admire so much and for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Protecting our liberties and our right to keep and bear arms are among my highest priorities as chairman of this committee. Im very grateful to the NSSF for this award in recognition of my successful work to overturn the Obama Administrations proposed ammo ban and my ongoing work to protect our Second Amendment rights.  The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the trade association for the firearms ammunition and hunting sports industry.
