For a place on the party primary ballot in 2010 candidates must file between December 3 2009 and January 4 2010. They must file with the state or county chair of their party. The primary election date is Tuesday March 2 2010.
Rep. Maldonado worked tirelessly to secure vital funds to help Williamson County continue its growth during the 81st Legislative Session. Rep. Maldonado secured more than $17 million in funding for higher education institutions in HD-52.
This funding will increase opportunities for students to receive a quality affordable continuing education at the Texas A&M Health Science Center (HSC) the East Williamson Higher Education Center (EWCHEC) and Texas State Universitys Round Rock Higher Education Center. With her seat on the Capitol Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) she fought for $10 million to improve and expand FM 1460 in Round Rock.
